Travel Grant - APACPH 2023 Conference

Travel Grant for Participants from LMIC

The 54^Th APACPH is pleased to provide funds for travel support to a limited number of students to attend the upcoming 54^th

Asia Pacific Consortium for Public Health Conference in Kuching, Sarawak,

Malaysia from 30 October – 1 November 2023.

Important dates:

Application closes: 10 August 2023 (2 days after abstract announcement)
·Notification of Acceptance: 24 August 2023. (2 days after confirmation by presenters)

Eligibility :

You should be a student.
Presenting at the 54th APACPH conference is an added value.
Must be residents of low to middle income countries (LMIC - as defined by the World Bank) or small island developing states (as United Nations member of affiliate states, but excluding Singapore), or members of indigenous communities in any country. Applicants must be a citizen of or currently a long-term resident of the country/region. If you are from an underserved community that is not listed, please put your justification in the comments section. Researchers from a non-qualified region who conduct research in a qualified region are not eligible.
Submitting a Travel Grant Award application does not guarantee acceptance of the abstract.
If you are coming from outside of Malaysia, please ensure that your passport is at least six months valid.

Application materials :

A statement of less than 300 words of travel needs and financial requirements (in English)
A letter of recommendation from your advisor / supervisor (scanned or pdf copy)
A tentative breakdown of the flight budget.

Selection criteria :

Since funds are limited, applications will be ranked by the novelty and relevance to the 54^th APACPH conference, and with a demonstrated and justified need for financial assistance. We will also try to balance between applicants at different levels of their career.
